Role overview

This position is based in Crawfordsville, IN and is focused on account management in a retail rental environment. The role combines customer service, sales support, delivery and pickup work, account health management, and early-stage collections. It is designed for someone who can build lasting customer relationships while helping drive store performance and uphold company standards.

Team members in this location may qualify for a sign-on bonus of $500, paid in two parts: $250 after 30 days and another $250 after 90 days. The starting hourly pay range is $16.15 to $17.36.

A key highlight of this position is internal growth potential; the company states that 99% of its Store Managers, District Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents were promoted from within, beginning in the Account Manager role.

Key duties

  • Manage an assigned group of accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Handle early-stage collections for balances that are 1 to 6 days past due, while meeting daily and weekly collection targets.
  • Use account management tools to protect account health and obtain payment commitments.
  • Complete delivery, pickup, and customer follow-up routes as assigned.
  • Provide high-quality customer support in the store, by phone, and in customers’ homes.
  • Help drive sales growth by creating new rental agreements and supporting product sales.
  • Transport, install, and handle merchandise safely.
  • Keep the showroom and company vehicles in good condition and aligned with standards.
  • Follow all operational and safety procedures at all times.

Schedule and work setting

This is a full-time, onsite position with a Monday through Saturday schedule. Sundays are off, along with one additional weekday. The work is physically active and involves regular lifting, bending, standing, and driving.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean or good driving history.
  • Strong communication abilities and a solid customer service mindset.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise.
  • Capability to operate a box truck.
  • Comfort with standing and driving for long periods.
