Role overview
This position is for an Account Manager focused on motor finance, working with used car dealers and brokers. The role is based in Wakefield, England, with a flexible patch covering parts of Yorkshire, including Leeds, Wakefield, and Sheffield.
The core objective is to build and nurture commercial relationships, bring dealers and brokers onto the platform, and support them through competitive finance offers. The role involves in-person meetings as well as telephone and email negotiations, while making sure performance goals are achieved and company procedures are followed.
Working pattern and compensation
The usual schedule is Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, for 36.25 hours per week. The salary range is £47,500 to £55,000, with a bonus opportunity of up to 20% and a car allowance of £600 per month.

What you will do
- Develop new relationships with used car dealers and brokers across your territory.
- Manage existing dealer and broker accounts to help them achieve sales and efficiency goals.
- Handle face-to-face meetings and negotiate by phone and email to provide suitable finance facilities.
- Deliver strong customer service throughout the account management process.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team while also operating independently.
- Meet business targets and individual performance objectives.
- Attend one-to-ones and team meetings at office locations, typically in Cardiff.
What you need
- Strong communication skills for dealing with dealers, brokers, and other external parties.
- Ability to work alone, organise your own priorities, and take ownership of your workload.
- Confidence in being accountable for personal performance.
- Clear verbal and written communication that is fair, accurate, and easy to understand.
- Comfort working in a target-driven environment with pressure and competing deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities.
- Ability to research, interpret, analyse, and present information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, strategic approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and to work extra hours when needed to meet deadlines or handle client queries.
