About the Company

This company is an applied AI research lab focused on creating software agents that can operate end to end. Its flagship products include Devin, described as the first AI software engineer, and Windsurf, an AI-first IDE. The broader goal is to build collaborative AI teammates that help engineers spend more time on meaningful work and allow teams to tackle larger ambitions.

The organization is intentionally small and exceptionally strong in talent. The founding team includes top competitive programmers, ex-founders, and leaders from AI-forward companies such as Scale AI, Palantir, Cursor, Waymo, Tesla, Lunchclub, Modal, Google DeepMind, and Nuro.

Role Overview

As Account Director for APAC, you will own the process of identifying, closing, and activating enterprise customers. In addition, you will contribute direct product insights back to the team so the product can improve based on market feedback. This role is central to revenue expansion and to shaping the development of Devin.

You will partner closely with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to shorten the sales cycle and support the growth of a fast-moving AI startup.

The position suits someone who has sold deeply technical solutions to businesses, understands software engineering, and thrives in a high-pressure, high-velocity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full revenue process, from prospecting to closing and customer activation, across early-stage and enterprise accounts.
  • Work through complex customer organizations, including direct engagement with C-suite leaders, technical and AI decision-makers, procurement teams, and legal stakeholders.
  • Create strategies to source leads, run product demos, and convert opportunities inside multi-layered buying groups.
  • Identify customer pain points in depth, evaluate the most suitable use cases and teams for Devin, and support deployment across large technology organizations.
  • Surface new use cases within customer technology teams and relay detailed feedback to product and engineering partners.
  • Contribute to pipeline creation, revenue generation, and the growth of a strong technical sales function that brings Devin to market.

Requirements

  • Proven success selling highly technical products to enterprise customers.
  • Technical background as a software engineer, sales engineer, or forward-deployed engineer; alternatively, strong capability to quickly learn complex technical problems and customer needs.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly changing settings with the willingness to move quickly and take on broader responsibility over time.
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and continuously.

Preferred Background

  • Experience founding a startup.
  • History of sourcing and closing large, complex enterprise software deals.
  • Background as a software engineer or sales engineer, or academic training in computer science followed by a move into go-to-market work.
  • Highly competitive and ambitious mindset, with enthusiasm for intense, fast-paced environments.
