Role overview
We are seeking an Academic Researcher to support the development of advanced AI systems by providing strong research, analysis, and document-handling expertise. In this remote position, you will contribute high-quality real-world input that helps improve how models learn, reason, and perform.
What you will do
- Perform detailed research within your subject area and deliver well-supported, evidence-based findings.
- Review, organize, and prepare complex Word and PDF materials, including use of tracked changes, form completion, and data extraction tools.
- Work alongside teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance functions to support varied project requirements.
- Turn complex research into clear reports and presentations that meet Fortune 500-level standards.
- Assess and combine academic papers, legal records, or sector data to guide project decisions.
- Keep all deliverables accurate, consistent, and aligned with the required guidelines.
- Communicate professionally in both written and spoken form with stakeholders and internal team members.
Experience and qualifications
- You should have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, legal work, policy, healthcare, or a closely related area.
- A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from an accredited institution is required.
- You need hands-on experience working with Word and PDF documents, including tracked edits, formatting, document review, and data extraction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent attention to detail, are essential.
- You must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote setting with deadlines.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex outputs is expected.
- You should have a track record of producing polished, client-ready work.
Preferred background
- Experience supporting or working within Fortune 500 organizations is an advantage.
