The Human Resources department plays a strategic role in ensuring alignment of talent strategies with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, driving employee engagement, and compliance with labor legislation and internal policies. HR focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining qualified professionals while promoting diversity and inclusion, continuously evolving to support innovation and sustainable growth.

Job Overview and Challenges

This role involves implementing and tailoring the training framework to meet the specific needs of the assigned zone. It requires stakeholder engagement to improve learning and productivity, influencing without direct authority to instill a culture of continuous learning, and delivering measurable business impact from training activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with zonal and regional leadership to design, plan, and execute customized training initiatives responsive to local needs.
  • Support the development of the learning architecture using insights about people, markets, challenges, and opportunities within the zone.
  • Monitor and jointly track impact and business performance metrics together with sales leadership.
  • Engage regularly with the sales hierarchy to ensure effective implementation and adherence to learning initiatives and follow-ups.
  • Promote adoption of sales tools and establish a disciplined learning environment to enhance productivity.
  • Manage delivery of various interventions aligned with the training framework and productivity programs.
  • Conduct flagship and regional training sessions for critical audiences, ensuring business outcomes through effective follow-up.
  • Enforce standardized content usage and adherence to established procedures, encouraging the use of e-learning platforms, online assessments, and knowledge management systems.
  • Gather continuous feedback from zonal leaders to refine and improve training modules, addressing local challenges and evolving learning needs.
  • Facilitate onboarding and induction of new employees, including product/process training and core programs.
  • Ensure timely compilation and submission of training data to central teams.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training programs primarily through business impact metrics and feedback on content quality.
  • Mobilize internal subject matter experts to share tacit knowledge and enhance learning dissemination.
  • Drive usage and gather feedback for the Knowledge Management System and Online Assessment tools within the zone.
  • Work collaboratively with business and branch influencers to promote new learning tools and cross-selling resources.
  • Serve as the primary contact for resolving issues with learning technologies and systems.
  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners to enhance employee engagement and deliver corporate HR initiatives.
  • Contribute to ABCU skill development training and support its agenda as a shared resource.

Key Relationships

  • Internal:
    • Products & Process Teams (monthly interaction) for product content inputs.
    • Zonal and Regional Business Heads (weekly) to assess business needs and update on productivity interventions.
    • Functional Heads (as required) to communicate learning activities and collect feedback.
    • Zonal HR Teams (as needed) to implement learning initiatives and maintain compliance.
  • External:
    • Vendors and Institutes (weekly/monthly) to identify and facilitate project-based collaborations.
    • HR Professionals and Forums (ongoing) to stay informed on best practices, trends, and talent management challenges.

    Direct Reports

    Regional Training Manager: Executes region-specific learning architecture initiatives, manages training delivery, post-program governance, and ensures engagement with regional business teams for measuring business impact. Maintains close contact with frontline staff, captures feedback, coordinates with regional HR representatives, and addresses employee concerns promptly. Conducts on-field shadowing to understand operational challenges.

    Sign-Off

    The position reports to multiple heads and directly to the Head of Learning & Development. Signatures are required on hard copy job descriptions for documentation.
