The mission is to significantly bolster the economic activity on the internet, offering a unique opportunity to impact the global economy at scale.

About the Workplace Team

The Workplace team is dedicated to designing and maintaining work settings that are inclusive, comfortable, and functional. These environments enhance collaboration, wellbeing, and productivity while meeting strict safety, security, and confidentiality standards essential to a financial services organization. The team, composed of hospitality-oriented experts, manages facilities, daily workflows, local programs including events, and operations across over 20 worldwide office locations.

Role Overview

We seek a strategic and emotionally intelligent leader to oversee seamless workplace operations, amenities, and programs in our New York office. As an integral leader, you will cultivate meaningful relationships with stakeholders, understand employee needs deeply, and ensure facility services align with business growth strategies. Operational oversight includes governance of contractor performance and budget accountability. You will synthesize feedback from diverse sources to guide workplace initiatives and customize enterprise strategies for local success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of workplace operations: building services, front desk, shipping, events, and health and safety compliance.
  • Make informed operational decisions balancing business impact, risk, budget, and employee experience, coordinating with broader organization when necessary.
  • Lead and develop the workplace services team by offering coaching, guidance, and performance management.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal partnerships, including with senior leaders and cross-departmental teams.
  • Build positive engagement with onsite employees to understand and support their needs.
  • Monitor operational performance to identify trends, resolve issues, and implement improvements.
  • Anticipate business and workplace requirements based on local context and company priorities.
  • Recommend data-driven workplace programs and experiences aligned to global standards but tailored to local needs.
  • Ensure workplace vendors and service providers meet contractual obligations and continually improve service quality.
  • Collaborate with finance and facilities management partners to manage operational budgets and resources for the office.
  • Support the local leadership by fostering an inclusive and engaging office environment.
  • Communicate workplace policies and programs clearly to all employees.
  • Implement global workplace policies with local adaptations, maintaining consistency with enterprise goals.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks to support Workplace team objectives as needed.

Qualifications and Candidate Profile

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in workplace or hospitality management within dynamic environments, demonstrating strong customer service and operational proficiency.
  • Proven expertise in managing facilities, vendors, and budgets effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders for smooth collaboration on projects.
  • Experienced in managing and mentoring teams dedicated to customer service, hospitality, and operations.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and stakeholder input to inform sound decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, and Jira productivity tools.
  • Hands-on approach with a readiness to delve into operational details.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and convert enterprise-level strategies into actionable local initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to diagnose root problems and implement scalable solutions.
  • Ability to thrive amid rapid changes and evolving priorities.
  • An innovative mindset that continuously enhances workplace services and processes.

Onsite Work Expectations

Most team members in our offices are expected to spend minimum 50% of their time monthly onsite interacting directly with colleagues and users, though variations exist by role and location. This strategy supports balance between collaborative in-person work and flexible arrangements.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual US salary range for this position is $147,200 to $220,800, reflective of the candidate's experience, role level, and location. Additional compensation components may include equity awards, bonuses, and sales commissions as applicable.
