Job Summary
The Waterproofing Engineer will be responsible for examining, planning, and implementing waterproofing strategies aimed at preventing water penetration and moisture-related damage in various constructions. This role demands selecting suitable waterproofing materials, overseeing their installation, maintaining quality assurance, and collaborating with project teams to safeguard structural soundness and prolong durability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of roofs, basements, terraces, bathrooms, water tanks, foundations, and other susceptible locations prone to leakage.
- Identify reasons behind seepage, damp conditions, cracks, and water entry.
- Advise on effective waterproofing methods such as membranes, coatings, sealants, and chemical treatments.
- Supervise preparation of surfaces, application processes, curing, and finishing stages of waterproofing materials.
- Collaborate with contractors, site engineers, civil teams, and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure tasks align with design drawings, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Perform quality validations, leakage assessments, and inspections after application.
- Compile reports detailing defects, corrective measures, and project milestones.
- Adhere to technical, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Qualifications
- Holds a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Possesses knowledge of waterproofing systems, construction materials, and defect detection techniques.
- Experience in site inspections, material implementation, and resolving leakage issues.
- Exhibits strong analytical and project coordination capabilities.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and construction specifications.
- Good communication skills along with ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Familiar with safety procedures typically observed on construction sites.
Additional Information
- Required minimum professional experience is 3 to 5 years.
- Reports directly to the Chief Engineer.
- May require travel as necessary.
