Job Overview
This role at Findlay Foods (Kingston) Ltd involves working in a warehouse setting within a retail or wholesale distribution center. The environment is refrigerated and physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct pallets and prepare shipments
- Handle loading, unloading, and moving goods manually or using basic material handling tools
- Pick and stock orders accurately
- Weigh materials and products as needed
Equipment and Safety
- Operate equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and towmotors
- Required to be bondable and pass a criminal record check
- Wear steel-toed safety boots and follow safety protocols
Working Conditions
- Work occurs in a cold or refrigerated environment
- Physically challenging duties including lifting weights ranging from 23 kg (50 lbs) up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Work hours typically 40 hours per week with shifts during day or night; night shifts include additional premium pay
