Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead our factory Stores and Logistics team. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and works efficiently across departments to improve operational reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness to satisfy customer demand and achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize experience from manufacturing or power industries to manage Stores and Logistics, developing innovative inventory management solutions.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization, inventory control, and oversee daily shipping and warehouse functions.
- Supervise receiving, storage, and issuing of raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Ensure packing, storage, replenishment, picking, loading, and dispatch are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to guarantee timely material availability.
- Maintain precise inventory records using ERP and WMS systems and perform routine stock audits.
- Apply best practices for material storage to prevent damage or contamination and enforce safety standards including 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead, train, assign duties to warehouse personnel, monitor performance, and oversee timely dispatch logistics.
- Manage documentation for materials inward/outward movements and coordinate with logistics partners to streamline transportation.
- Expertly handle materials considering shelf life and preservation as per original equipment manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage material issuance, job work challan creation and closure, transfer postings, and consumption records in ERP systems.
- Ensure effective space utilization, logical and physical location mapping for optimal material storage and handling.
- Maintain smooth daily store operations and motivate team members to achieve goals.
- Conduct complete physical inventory verifications to maintain stock accuracy and accountability.
- Organize material placement post-quality clearance using FIFO principles for both storage and issuance processes.
- Understand waste storage and disposal complying with HSE guidelines and enforce adherence to company policies and environmental laws.
- Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience, or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical with 5-8 years’ experience in Stores and Logistics, preferably within the High Voltage Switchgear sector.
- Strong understanding of Stores & Logistics operations, inventory management, inventory ageing, taxation (GST, E-way bill), and SAP MM and PP modules.
- Knowledgeable in ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Self-driven, well-organized, open to new ideas, and possess excellent interpersonal, multitasking, communication, leadership, and management skills.
