Role Overview
Gritter Francona is seeking a skilled Voice Actor to provide professional voice-over performances for animated educational videos produced for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Center for PTSD. The role requires conveying evidence-based content about trauma, PTSD, treatments, and related conditions in a compassionate, clear, and engaging manner tailored to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver narration and character voices for multimedia educational content.
- Interpret approved scripts to communicate complex behavioral health and clinical concepts naturally and clearly.
- Maintain a serious yet hopeful tone, ensuring professionalism and scientific accuracy in recordings.
- Adapt vocal style, pace, and emotional delivery to suit audiences such as Veterans, trauma survivors, caregivers, health providers, and the general public.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, video producers, directors, scriptwriters, subject matter experts, and Government stakeholders throughout production.
- Engage in recording sessions, including rehearsals, retakes, and revisions to meet quality standards.
- Pronounce medical and technical terminology precisely and consistently.
- Follow production directions on pacing, intonation, timing, and emotion to align with animation and educational goals.
- Maintain professionalism in studio and remote settings, adhering to production timelines and deadlines.
- Ensure performances are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and respectful to individuals with varied traumatic experiences.
- Support quality assurance by reviewing and revising recordings to gain final Government approval.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- At least three years of professional voice acting or narration experience pertinent to this type of project.
- Proven record of producing high-quality voice performances in animation, educational media, or similar fields.
