Role Overview
You will be part of the Developer Productivity and Services (DPS) team, responsible for creating essential tools and platforms that enhance government developers' workflows. DPS manages products that improve developer productivity and agency services, including AI coding tools and the Central Product Marketplace, striving to deliver scalable and user-centric developer-facing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert complex technical workflows into easy-to-understand and user-friendly designs.
- Engage with stakeholders and end-users to deeply comprehend their needs and represent the user perspective in product development.
- Manage the full design lifecycle from concept through delivery, producing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that align user needs with business objectives.
- Lead user research activities such as usability testing, interviews, contextual inquiries, and surveys to identify pain points and validate designs.
- Analyze user feedback and research data to suggest feasible solutions and iterative enhancements for our products.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design quality and feasibility while clearly communicating design intent to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum three years of professional experience in User Experience or Product Design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in User-Centered Design methodology, including research, prototyping, and visual design.
- Proficient with design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalents.
- Ability to utilize research and data to justify design decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and empathetically with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and drive progress.
- Motivation to continuously learn, adapt, and grow within the UX design discipline.
