About the Role
PNC is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences with an inclusive and respectful workplace culture. As an Underwriting Associate in the Statement Spreading team, you may be located in several U.S. cities or work remotely from a suitable home office. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete basic due diligence and document processing under direct supervision to support the underwriting process.
- Perform fundamental financial and statistical analyses, including cash flow and collateral evaluations.
- Review forms and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, ordering additional reports as needed.
- Assist in preparing business cases for credit approval but do not hold credit approval authority.
- Receive and review financial statements for commercial loan renewals or new loan requests via workflow tools, returning inaccurate documents for correction.
- Input data into internal spreading software to maintain consistency for underwriting approvals.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding underwriting issues.
Candidate Profile
Successful applicants typically possess an associate degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of three years in a related field. Candidates should be motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented, and risk-aware, striving for accuracy while managing multiple priorities.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary ranges from $37,600 to $68,750 annually, varying by location and individual qualifications. Incentives may be awarded based on company and individual performance.
