Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an Underground MPU Operator to join our team in Greater Perth Area. This role involves operating underground MPU vehicles to efficiently deliver high-quality blasting products for mining operations. You'll prepare and charge explosives into blast holes, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-start checks and weekly asset inspections.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support all explosives handling and related processes.
  • Communicate and share expertise with clients and crew members.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
  • Adhere strictly to established safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in underground charge-up operations including both development and production blasting.
  • HR licence with manual synchromesh endorsement.
  • Valid Dangerous Goods Security Card and Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Certifications RIIHAN301E (Operate Elevated Work Platform) and RIIWHS204E (Work Safely at Heights).
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Willingness to work night shifts.
  • Strong commitment to safety, inclusion, and a high-performance culture.

Compensation and Work Conditions

  • Base salary ranging from $127,500 to $143,202 plus superannuation and additional benefits.
  • Night shift work included.
  • FIFO from Perth on an 8 weeks on, 6 weeks off roster supporting work-life balance.
