UI/UX Designer

Job Overview

We are inviting an experienced UI/UX Designer to contribute to a significant digital transformation initiative based in Dublin City Center. This role is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting user-friendly, accessible, and user-focused digital experiences while playing a pivotal role in enhancing enterprise design governance and advancing design system standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Create intuitive, engaging user experiences for both web and mobile platforms.
• Assist in the support, implementation, and ongoing management of Design Governance, Guidelines, and Principles.
• Conduct user research and convert insights into detailed user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished high-fidelity designs.
• Manage the full UX lifecycle: ideation, prototyping, usability testing, and validation of design concepts.
• Provide customer-centric design solutions aligned with Human-Centred, Interaction, Visual, and Interface Design principles.
• Organize and analyze user testing sessions and suggest actionable improvements for the user experience.
• Help develop and expand enterprise design systems, ensuring adherence to governance, accessibility standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with product owners, developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to produce superior digital products.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated track record as a UI/UX Designer with successful delivery of digital products for web and mobile.
• Robust portfolio evidencing end-to-end user-centred design processes.
• Proficiency in UI/UX Design, Human-Centred Design, Interaction Design, Interface and Visual Design, Content Design, User Research, Wireframing, Prototyping, and Usability Testing.
• Good understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
• Experience contributing to or managing design systems and governance structures.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and professional English writing skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in large enterprise settings or the public sector.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and experience working with cross-disciplinary product teams.
