Role Overview
The Training Manager will provide outstanding leadership over all Continuing Airworthiness training programs managed by the Training Task Force (TTF). This individual will oversee a knowledgeable and skilled team to develop and deliver tailored training solutions that are both operationally efficient and cost-effective. Additional duties may be assigned contingent on the candidate's competencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training projects in alignment with contracted deadlines as per CDRL B02 requirements.
- Identify potential training business opportunities and needs, crafting training proposals compliant with Part 145, EASA, and EMARS standards.
- Conduct comprehensive training needs analysis and create detailed reports and syllabus outlines meeting organizational objectives.
- Oversee the deployment of diverse training methods such as classroom, virtual sessions, practical and on-the-job training (OJT), along with managing assessments, marking, and performance feedback.
- Lead the administration of training processes including bids, data management, trainer coordination, examination oversight, record keeping, and scheduling.
- Evaluate and continuously improve training design and execution frameworks for enhanced outcomes.
- Manage BAE Systems and BSL mandated training programs, maintaining accurate records and planning courses effectively.
Leadership and Compliance
- Set clear targets and monitor training delivery to improve performance and ensure efficient Aircraft Maintenance & Support Training operations.
- Ensure all training documentation and airworthiness records are meticulously maintained on IT and paper-based systems.
- Guarantee adherence to the Training Management Plan, company policies, and relevant procedures.
- Incorporate Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management, and Safety Assurance practices within training activities, including hazard analysis and mitigation.
- Uphold compliance with Governance and Assurance frameworks, supporting internal audits and process confirmations.
- Address audit findings promptly and provide updates during reviews.
- Implement and monitor corrective actions following quality assurance procedures to resolve non-compliance issues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge and application of the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework, driving necessary regulatory changes into training content.
- Lead compliance with contractual obligations such as ITAR, EaPW, ISO, and ensure adaptations in training accordingly.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- In-depth understanding of Regulatory Frameworks with capability to integrate them into training procedures.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and promote a continuous improvement culture backed by effective management reporting.
- Experience developing efficient, cost-conscious training strategies and managing training team competencies.
- Effective collaboration with senior leadership to initiate and sustain performance enhancement or rectify compliance deficits.
- Strong coordination skills to integrate training functions within broader business operations involving complex cross-functional activities.
- Significant leadership experience in Training or related fields with an outward-focused, cross-departmental approach.
- Possession of a Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant education.
