Job description
Overview
Tiaki Wai seeks a proactive and detail-focused Training Coordinator to support operational teams by managing training, compliance, and related administrative functions. This full-time role is based in Rongotai with activities across the wider Wellington region, working 40 hours per week to ensure employees meet competency and certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and schedule employee training to maintain mandatory competencies and certifications.
- Accurately maintain and monitor training records, including renewal and refresher schedules.
- Produce compliance reports and assist with audit preparations.
- Manage purchase orders and assist with financial inquiries related to invoices.
- Support management of on-call rosters for operational teams.
- Coordinate fleet and equipment servicing, including Warrant of Fitness (WOF)/Certificate of Fitness (COF) inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with leaders, employees, training providers, and stakeholders.
- Provide backup assistance to depot coordinators when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in administrative or coordination roles.
- Exceptional organizational skills capable of juggling multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
- Confident communicator with proven relationship-building abilities.
- Customer service focused with a collaborative mindset.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience or quick adaptability to systems such as Maximo, JD Edwards, or financial software.
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s license.

Additional Information
- Position offers a competitive salary ranging from $64,306 to $90,785 inclusive of KiwiSaver, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
