The role focuses on the development of new colors tailored to specific customer requirements as well as the assessment of novel color materials.

Perform color development projects for assigned customers under supervision.
Match and replicate unknown colors by comparing to competitive target panels with guidance from senior staff.
Create new color styles independently when no specific customer target panel is available, directed by supervisors.
Collaborate effectively with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Technical Project Managers (TPM), and distributors to advance new color development initiatives.
Work to improve profitability of color development efforts while following technical pigmentation guidelines.
Assist in ISO and IATF quality management activities related to the color team, under the Tech Manager’s leadership.
Contribute to building a strong team by providing technical leadership and guidance to junior colleagues.
Maintain open communication with the Customization team and relevant departments such as Production and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
Enhance personal expertise and participate in strengthening the company's overall technological capabilities.
Ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
Uphold BASF's guidelines, Code of Conduct, core values, and principles, fostering a compliant work environment.
Support ISO 14001 environmental management activities for the color team under the direction of the Technical Manager.
Implement and maintain 5S workplace organization principles, ensuring zero accidents, incidents, and injuries.

Educational Background: Bachelor of Technology or Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, or a Diploma in Surface Coatings.
Work Experience: Between 1 to 3 years in automotive coating development.
Professional Knowledge: Solid understanding of automotive coating ingredients and formulation technologies.
