Job Overview
Our Mount Maunganui branch seeks a dedicated full-time Traffic Management Operative to become part of the Green Team within the Traffic Management division. This is an active role primarily conducted on the road, focusing on ensuring the safety of both work crews and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage traffic management setups.
- Direct and regulate traffic flow to maintain safety.
- Create secure working environments for colleagues at job sites.
- Assist pedestrians and professionally respond to inquiries from local residents, representing the company positively.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in traffic management is preferred, though willingness to learn and obtain training is also valued.
- Must possess a Traffic Controller qualification at Level 1 minimum (Unit standard 31958 and/or 31960).
- Hold a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
- Class 2 Licence is favorable or a readiness to acquire one.
- Commitment to a safety-first approach for personal, team, and public well-being.
- Dependable, punctual, and highly motivated individual.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor settings.
- Strong team player with effective problem-solving abilities.
