Tool Store Clerk

Role Overview

Based in Jandakot, Perth, WA, this full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The Tool Store Clerk plays a key role in supporting maintenance operations by ensuring the availability and repair of tools necessary for aircraft upkeep. The role encompasses managing tool repairs, innovations, replacements, orders, inventory, and supplier negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly preparing and delivering tools to support scheduled maintenance, aiming to reduce downtime.
• Checking that all tools are properly calibrated, compliant with standards, and ready for safety-critical tasks.
• Scheduling and overseeing tool calibrations to avoid operational delays and sustain readiness.
• Investigating issues related to tools, evaluating their impact on operations, and applying corrective measures.
• Cooperating with Engineering and Safety departments to ensure tools are integrated into workflows effectively.
• Handling procurement of tools and tracking via the company's online systems, submitting purchase orders, and keeping precise records to meet future needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least two years of hands-on experience managing, troubleshooting, and repairing tools within aircraft maintenance or a comparable technical environment.
• Familiarity with Part 145 regulatory standards is advantageous.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
• Ability to understand technical documents and perform fundamental shop mathematics.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability for technical issues.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
