Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive engineer to join our New Product Development (NPD) division focusing on home automation products. The role encompasses verifying product functionality through comprehensive testing, managing technical documentation, engaging with vendors to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across departments to maintain quality standards and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional, performance, and compliance testing on home automation products to verify they meet company and customer standards.
• Detect defects, anomalies, and identify potential improvements in product quality.
• Draft, review, and organize technical and compliance documentation, ensuring all test reports and corrective action records are accurate and complete.
• Assist with audit and certification procedures by providing necessary documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors to communicate testing issues, monitor corrective actions, and confirm resolution effectiveness.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to synchronize product enhancements.
• Ensure all documentation and testing comply with established quality and regulatory processes; suggest enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in product testing, quality assurance, or documentation management, preferably with home automation, IoT, or similar technologies.
• Sound understanding of testing methodologies, compliance regulations, and documentation standards.
• Strong communication and coordination capabilities for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Familiarity with documentation, reporting tools, and defect tracking software.
