Working Hours and Location
The shift leader role in Haverhill is primarily a day-to-night position running from 9:00 AM until midnight on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Your contracted weekly hours will be within these time frames and scheduled with a minimum of three weeks' notice.
Compensation
The starting pay rate for a Tesco Shift Leader is £15.59 per hour, increasing to £16.86 per hour for stores inside the M25 area. Some stores might offer additional compensation. A guaranteed minimum of 16 working hours per week is provided, though positions with a minimum of 12 hours weekly are also available.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support store teams to deliver excellent in-store customer experiences.
- Excel across various store departments, serving as the primary contact for day-to-day operational issues.
- Foster positive and inclusive relationships to empower team members to perform optimally.
- Serve as acting store leader in the absence of the manager.
- Make well-balanced decisions and adjust effectively to evolving circumstances.
- Coach and provide constructive feedback to colleagues while demonstrating exemplary customer service behavior.
- Maintain curiosity and proactively seek ways to enhance service to customers, communities, and environmental goals.
Requirements
- Prior leadership or managerial experience in a fast-paced retail setting is essential.
