About the Role
Robert Half is collaborating with a respected nonprofit legal organization nationally recognized for its dedication to public interest advocacy. They are searching for a Temporary Conflicts Analyst to bolster their Legal Operations team during a transition phase. This role is a prime opportunity for a detail-focused legal professional to thrive in a team-oriented environment while advancing expertise in complex conflicts and risk management procedures.
Position Overview
The Conflicts Analyst will manage the review of new cases and potential hires by identifying possible conflicts and ensuring adherence to internal policies and professional ethics standards. This full-time contract role involves 37.5 hours weekly and can be fulfilled remotely or through a hybrid work setup. The contract is anticipated to extend through January 2027.
Core Duties
- Carry out comprehensive conflicts searches and analyses, ensuring compliance with professional conduct guidelines, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
- Evaluate new matter requests and conflicts reports, requesting additional details as necessary.
- Oversee conflicts checks related to prospective employees.
- Utilize Intapp software to perform searches, create detailed reports, and assess potential conflicts concerns.
- Conduct corporate and organizational research supporting conflict assessments.
- Concisely summarize findings and escalate identified issues to relevant parties for further action.
- Keep precise records and documentation related to conflict investigations and resolutions.
- Contribute to special projects and other legal operations activities as required.
Qualifications
- Preferred minimum of two years’ experience in conflicts analysis within law firms, legal departments, or comparable professional services settings.
- Proficiency with Intapp NBI, Intapp Risk, or similar conflicts management tools.
- Solid understanding of conflicts-of-interest regulations and professional responsibility standards.
- Strong capabilities in analysis, research, and solving problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high sense of confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate well within cross-functional, remote teams.
