About the Role and Company
This position supports the Corporate Finance vertical by ensuring timely and accurate handling of all disbursements and transactional activities, along with proper documentation and record maintenance. The role is within Aditya Birla Finance Limited (ABFL), a prominent subsidiary of Aditya Birla Financial Services Group, specializing in diverse lending and financing across Capital Markets, Corporate/Trade Finance, Commercial Real Estate, and Mortgages. Role Context and Challenges
The Mid Office Group, comprising Mid Office and Operations divisions, ensures accuracy and timely completion of loan transaction tasks. While the Mid Office manages post-sanction activities such as sanction letters and collateral management, the Operations division oversees loan account activations, disbursement and repayment approvals, transaction accounting, reconciliations, and MIS reporting. The Corporate Finance Group's product suite includes Trade Finance variants like Channel Finance, Vendor Financing, Invoice Discounting, and Bill Discounting, as well as emerging products such as Lease Rental Discounting and Loan against Properties.
This role's primary challenge lies in executing a high volume of disbursements within bank cut-off times without compromising transaction accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record all transactions in the system verifying supporting documents comply with policies and guidelines.
- Follow up diligently for recovery of discounting and overdue charges, margin monies, and TDS certificates.
- Coordinate with the Accounts department to ensure all transaction processes meet established TATs and cut-off schedules.
- Respond promptly to client and Relationship Manager inquiries with timely loan status updates.
- Maintain safe custody of all transaction documentation and provide documents as needed to internal and external auditors.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Graduate with 5 to 6 years’ experience in corporate finance operations, possessing strong understanding of Corporate Finance Group products. Proficiency with IT systems and advanced Excel skills are essential to succeed in this role, alongside a process-oriented mindset to handle operational challenges efficiently.
