Role Summary
The Systems Engineering Intern is a remote position focused on experiential learning and active participation in system-related projects. Responsibilities include supporting system architecture design, conducting analyses, and documenting findings while collaborating with mentors and multidisciplinary teams on simulation models and real-world challenges. Daily tasks involve troubleshooting, system administration, offering technical support, and assessing system behavior trade-offs considering realistic limitations. Interns also aid in refining tools, processes, and training materials through group workshops and iterative feedback sessions. This opportunity enhances system thinking, technical acumen, and the capacity to integrate engineering decisions within operational and commercial contexts.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in Systems Engineering and Systems Design fundamentals
- Experience or knowledge in troubleshooting and delivering technical support
- Understanding of system administration and basic infrastructure concepts
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving aptitude, meticulousness, and organized reasoning
- Background or familiarity with engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, or allied fields
- Pursuing or recently completed an engineering, computer science, or related technical degree
- Comfortable with remote teamwork platforms and effective written and verbal communication
- A continuous learning mindset and motivation to grow
- Bonus: Interest or exposure to simulation technologies, AI/ML, or HPC
