About the Role
The Systems Engineer - SecOps will serve as a key technical leader throughout all stages of the sales process, engaging with customers from initial requests for information through detailed proposals and proofs of concept. This position focuses on building advanced security solutions tailored to customer needs, while acting as the primary technical liaison between clients, partners, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical aspects of sales cycles including managing requests for information, proposals, and demonstrations.
- Collaborate internally and externally to coordinate proof of concept projects and ensure solutions meet client expectations.
- Analyze customer technical requirements deeply to design solutions that outperform competitors.
- Maintain continuous learning of Fortinet’s products and cybersecurity industry trends to offer cutting-edge protection against emerging threats.
- Effectively present solutions in person or remotely using various communication tools such as whiteboarding and technical documentation.
- Manage multiple concurrent deals, maintaining high standards of customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Accurately record technical interactions and account information using CRM software.
Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise in security technologies related to networks, endpoints, and applications; CISSP certification is a plus.
- Experience in pre-sales engineering with responsibility over entire technical deal lifecycle.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities contributing to significant organizational wins.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain customer relationships with effective technical communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge in at least two of the following domains: Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), advanced routing and SD-WAN, DevOps and automation tools, public/private cloud, Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Network Operations and Security Operations Centers (NOC/SOC), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Secure Email Gateway (SEG), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Network Access Control (NAC), and LAN/WLAN.
