About the Role

Join a pioneering engineering and manufacturing company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a Systems Administration Specialist I. This full-time, exempt position offers an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience. The role involves managing and enhancing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, reliability, and efficiency in support of critical production, engineering, and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage servers, workstations, and network infrastructure components.
• Continuously monitor network performance and overall system health.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Administer Active Directory including user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
• Provide support for both wired and wireless network environments.
• Manage file servers, data storage, backup procedures, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend system updates, patches, and emerging technologies.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and infrastructure inventories.
• Deliver Tier II support for desktop and laptop computers, VoIP telephony, and mobile devices.
• Support essential business software applications and provide end-user assistance organization-wide.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years in System or Network Administration roles.
• Strong experience with Windows enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, server management, virtualization, and IT infrastructure fundamentals.
• Hands-on familiarity with Dell EMC, Juniper, Palo Alto, Proxmox, and Wazuh technologies.
• Experience managing network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Expertise with VoIP communication systems and mobile device management.
• Microsoft certifications and cybersecurity knowledge are advantageous.
