Job Overview

As a Supply Chain Manager at Rolls-Royce in Friedrichshafen, you will oversee project management and coordination in operational procurement within an international setting. Your responsibilities include timely acquisition and scheduling oversight of assemblies and components, ensuring optimal conditions for innovative products. You'll actively manage supplier capacity assurance, evaluating plausibility and alignment with plans, while optimizing disposition to balance supply security and inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement projects and coordinate operational purchasing tasks internationally.
• Ensure on-time procurement and monitor schedules for assemblies and components with favorable terms.
• Drive capacity security at suppliers, validating planning conformity and plausibility.
• Optimize supply planning to secure availability against inventory status.
• Evaluate and develop suppliers logistically to prepare for management discussions with executive leadership.
• Coordinate implementation dates amid technical changes and series ramp-ups.
• Utilize data-driven and innovative approaches to refine supplier structures.
• Initiate special measures to address performance issues and quality defects, securing delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in economics, technical training, or commercial education in operational procurement accompanied by several years of professional experience.
• Experience in supply chain management with multi-tier procurement chains.
• Proficient IT skills, including SAP and MS Office.
• Structured and independent working style combined with technical understanding.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.
