Position overview
D. KHUSHALBHAI JEWELLERS VESU is hiring a Supply Chain Director for its Vesu, India location. This is a full-time onsite role focused on leading end-to-end supply chain operations, shaping supply strategy, managing suppliers, keeping costs under control, and improving processes to support steady business expansion.
Applicants with backgrounds in jewelry manufacturing, the diamond sector, luxury products, or similar industries will be given preference.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning and long-term planning of the supply chain function.
- Identify, assess, and manage suppliers to develop a dependable supply network.
- Handle procurement discussions, contract terms, and supplier relationship management.
- Track and reduce supply chain expenses while improving operational output.
- Create supply plans based on business requirements and ensure their execution.
- Watch market developments and refine supply chain approaches when needed.
- Work closely with production, operations, quality, and other internal teams.
- Build, refine, and maintain effective supply chain systems and procedures.
- Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team.
- Take ownership of additional duties assigned by the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams.
- Strong understanding of procurement workflows, supply chain operations, supplier management, and contract handling.
- Well-developed communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical thinking and ability to solve problems effectively.
- Ability to independently lead initiatives and deliver targets.
- Comfortable using office productivity tools and ERP platforms.
Preferred qualifications
- Exposure to international purchasing or management of global suppliers.
- Experience improving supply chain processes and controlling costs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software tools.
- Strong capability in business negotiation and contract administration.
