Job Description

The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the store level including staff management, budget and accounting, inventory control, sales promotion, and store appearance. Working under the direction of regional management, this role supervises store co-management and department managers, implements merchandising and financial management policies, and ensures compliance to organizational standards to meet sales and profit targets. Direct guidance is provided to department managers to resolve issues and enhance performance and operational conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of 15-20 grocery store supervisors throughout a geographical area.
  • Oversee the in-store grocery order fulfillment process including picking, packing, and handover to delivery riders.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food handling and packing standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain high operational standards such as order preparation time, picker productivity, item replacement accuracy, and in-stock availability, while preserving excellent customer experience.
  • Develop and implement customized processes or workflows to optimize store operations when needed.
  • Coordinate in real-time with customer service and rider teams to ensure timely dispatch and address customer complaints effectively.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers including picker recruitment, training, and performance oversight.
  • Manage workforce scheduling for pickers and supervisors to assure full shift coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Coach, train, and manage the performance of store supervisors to foster a productive work environment.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in order fulfillment and picker management.
  • 2-3 years of operational experience specifically in grocery store order fulfillment.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and performance dashboards to support decision-making.
