Strategy Business Partner - Associate

Job Overview

Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment as a Strategy Business Partner for the MENA region, supporting business and country management with a key focus on MENA Investment Banking and the establishment of the RHQ in Saudi Arabia. This role entails partnering with senior leaders and collaborating cross-functionally to influence business strategy, enhance performance, and propel growth within J.P. Morgan's regional franchise.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior business managers on strategic initiatives spanning MENA Investment Banking, Global Banking, and country-specific projects.
• Prepare and present strategic analyses, financial presentations, and business reviews to senior leadership.
• Create customized presentations for the MENA franchise targeting town halls, senior visitors, and regulatory bodies by liaising across business lines.
• Assess and report on business trends, financial outcomes, and performance indicators to support informed decisions.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining the RHQ operational framework in Saudi Arabia.
• Monitor and report profit & loss, expenses, and staffing metrics for the MENA franchise to ensure precise tracking and evaluation.
• Oversee the deal pipeline for MENA Investment Banking, coordinating with bankers to track performance against revenue targets.
• Conduct external performance analysis using tools like Dealogic, including competitor benchmarking and reconciling internal fees with Dealogic credits.
• Drive initiatives for process enhancement, automation, and advanced dashboard creation to improve efficiency and enable data-driven insights.
• Work with Planning & Analysis, risk, legal, compliance, and control departments to ensure accurate reporting and robust risk management.
• Promote J.P. Morgan’s core business values and contribute to cultivating an inclusive and positive workplace culture.

Candidacy Requirements

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in business management, finance, strategy, or consulting within the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with strategic thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, adept at managing stakeholders and delivering compelling presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and produce results in a fast-moving, multinational environment.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly detail-oriented, self-starting, adaptable team player with solid project management expertise.
• Good understanding of risk, control, and governance frameworks.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or another related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Global Banking is advantageous.
• Knowledge of deal pipeline management and external performance analysis platforms like Dealogic.
• Exposure to regulatory and audit support roles.
• Experience engaging with senior leadership and a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools considered a plus.
