Role overview
This position sits at the centre of the store’s daily activity. The successful candidate will help keep operations smooth by supporting stock handling, maintaining a tidy sales floor, and serving customers with a positive attitude. The environment is busy, team-focused, and varied from one shift to the next.
Core duties
- Deliver warm, efficient service to shoppers and assist them with their needs.
- Unpack deliveries, replenish shelves, verify product condition, and keep displays and merchandising standards in excellent order.
- Handle tills carefully and complete transactions quickly and correctly.
Skills and experience
- A helpful, approachable manner with a willingness to support both customers and colleagues.
- The ability to work hard, stay active, and remain comfortable in a fast-paced setting.
- A dependable, adaptable approach and a positive, can-do mindset.
- Confidence with numbers and basic point-of-sale/till tasks.
- Previous retail experience is beneficial, though it is not required.
Working pattern and notice
The role is for 25 hours each week, with the possibility of extra hours depending on business needs. Shifts may begin as early as 6:00 AM and end as late as 10:00 PM, depending on the store. Applicants should have dependable transport arrangements that suit these hours.
