Role Overview
The Staff Nurse will play a vital role in supporting physicians in gynecological clinical procedures, providing comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, educating patients on women's reproductive health, and serving as a liaison among healthcare teams to deliver personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Support doctors during pelvic examinations, Pap smear tests, colposcopies, and minor surgical interventions.
- Prepare female patients for gynecological operations, confirm informed consent forms are in place, and observe their post-operative recovery.
- Provide counseling on reproductive health topics, including contraception methods, fertility issues, menopausal concerns, and menstrual hygiene practices.
- Assist in screening and diagnosing conditions like sexually transmitted infections and breast health disorders.
- Advocate for patients' needs and coordinate with multidisciplinary medical teams to develop and implement sensitive and tailored care plans.
