About Barayamal
Barayamal is dedicated to fostering First Nations entrepreneurship in Australia by providing programs, resources, mentoring, and hands-on assistance.
Role Overview
Barayamal is seeking a volunteer Software Test Engineer to enhance the quality of software tools that support its operations and programs. This role is unpaid and flexible, allowing volunteers to contribute based on their availability with no fixed minimum hours. It is a remote role suited for residents of Australia.
Responsibilities
- Develop practical test plans for designated features and fixes.
- Create or enhance automated testing when beneficial.
- Replicate bugs, document outcomes, and assist developers in verifying remedies.
- Participate in occasional remote meetings scheduled at mutually convenient times.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Background in software testing, quality assurance automation, API testing, or test planning.
- Working knowledge of Git and collaborative issue tracking tools.
- Clear communication skills along with the ability to work autonomously on agreed tasks.
- A commitment to using technology to benefit First Nations entrepreneurship and community development.
