Role Overview

As a Software Engineer at Paddle, you will develop and maintain critical software that processes hundreds of millions of dollars monthly. The position involves working autonomously and collaboratively, handling all stages from concept to deployment and ongoing management. You'll engage with diverse teams including Data/Analytics, Infosec, Platform, Risk, and Finance to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality Go language code for existing and new services within a large codebase.
• Work effectively with engineers and cross-functional team members, communicating clearly in both written and verbal forms.
• Design, develop, and deploy features from planning to rollout.
• Continuously enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of Paddle’s high-traffic event-driven system.
• Take ownership of your code by supporting, monitoring, and ensuring efficient AWS infrastructure usage.

Candidate Profile

• Experience coding in Go, demonstrated through the interview process.
• A proactive mindset focused on improving code quality and team workflows.
• Attention to detail with an ability to anticipate edge cases independently.
• Strong pride in craftsmanship and intellectual curiosity about payments, finance, and technology intersections.
