Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to become an integral part of our expanding team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications to be scalable, resilient, and easy to use. You will coordinate with various teams to conceptualize and implement platform enhancements, supporting our mission to enable homeowner empowerment. Additionally, you will assist users by diagnosing listing display issues and providing timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain high-quality software systems.
• Introduce new capabilities and refine existing features on the platform.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to clarify and satisfy product requirements.
• Conduct peer code reviews and offer constructive insights.
• Develop and uphold automated testing to guarantee application stability and performance.
• Swiftly identify and address software defects and technical challenges.
• Keep abreast of emerging industry trends and technologies.
• Enhance development workflows and toolsets continuously.
• Utilize AI coding assistants such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar technologies.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for source code, APIs, and system frameworks.
• Support users with listing issues and manage Right to Know, Access, and Delete requests per compliance obligations.

Candidate Profile

• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in software development roles.
• Demonstrable expertise with at least one contemporary programming language such as JavaScript, Go, or PHP.
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience or familiarity with backend frameworks like Node.js, Go, or PHP.
• Keen to learn or experienced with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient with version control tools, particularly Git.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities and rigorous attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication along with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Capable of working independently as well as within a team setting.

On-Call Responsibilities

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $118,800 - $145,200 annually, with eligibility for bonuses, incentives, and comprehensive benefit packages. Please note, these figures are current estimates and may be adjusted by the company over time. Salaries will not fall below the legal minimum wage.
