Software Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Software Architect to enhance our Architecture team. This role involves designing and architecting a cloud-based platform utilizing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. You will collaborate closely with diverse Engineering and Product units to ensure the platform meets enterprise needs at scale, focusing on technological risks and articulating non-functional requirements clearly. Strong communication, collaborative skills, and a proactive work attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to establish the Product Roadmap and technical design enablers.
• Drive the delivery of a secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud platform.
• Define and uphold software architecture principles and best practices.
• Lead architectural design and implementation of scalable, secure software solutions.
• Effectively communicate non-functional requirements and architectural decisions both verbally and in writing.
• Identify and mitigate strategic technical debt.
• Work alongside development teams to ensure architecture alignment and adherence to design goals.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to maximize platform quality.
• Mentor and guide development teams in technical direction.
• Contribute to creating core platform components and templates.
• Continuously learn about new technologies to improve platform capabilities.
• Coordinate with Architecture, DevOps, and Platform Engineering to automate deployments, enforce governance, and comply with regulations.
• Ensure platform data security, privacy, and policy compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in software development.
• Minimum 3 years in software, technical, or solution architecture roles.
• Thorough understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Experience designing distributed enterprise-grade systems capable of scaling to high traffic levels.
• Excellent attention to detail and readiness to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies including .NET (C#), Web API, Azure services (such as Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Application Insights, Key Vault, Azure Front Door), and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Postgres, and Cloud Functions.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks like Angular and React.
• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle practices including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, and Kafka messaging.
• Exposure to containerization technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Azure or .NET certifications are a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as Co-Pilot for design and coding efficiency.
• A strong interest in AI technologies and their practical application to accelerate delivery and business value.
• Intellectual curiosity coupled with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Excellent communication, documentation, design skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
