About the Role
Africa Software Architects (ASA) is an innovative technology company specializing in software solutions across various industries. We are currently searching for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to steer the digital engagement and online branding of one of our cutting-edge platforms. This is a hybrid onsite role based in Harare, Zimbabwe, offered on a one-year contract basis with potential extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all social media profiles and accounts.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar for consistent posting.
- Design and implement digital marketing campaigns including promotions and referral initiatives.
- Collaborate with designers, videographers, and the marketing team to produce engaging content.
- Monitor social media engagement and growth metrics; analyze and report on key performance indicators such as reach, engagement, app downloads, merchant sign-ups, and conversions.
- Administer presence on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and WhatsApp.
- Respond promptly to customer and user inquiries, compliments, and complaints.
- Coordinate influencer marketing efforts and recruit partner merchants via digital campaigns.
- Manage paid advertisements across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X to maximize customer acquisition and campaign ROI.
- Encourage and cultivate user-generated content and positive reviews.
- Protect and enhance the brand's online reputation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in related fields such as Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Graphic Design.
- Relevant digital marketing certifications (Google Digital Marketing or similar) are advantageous.
- Minimum three years of hands-on experience managing social media channels for commercial brands, digital agencies, technology firms, e-commerce platforms, or marketplaces.
- Proven track record of crafting and executing successful social media strategies across multiple platforms.
- Skilled in managing paid social advertising campaigns and assessing their effectiveness.
- Proficient with social media management and analytics tools like Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Canva, Grok, or related software.
- Experience in photography, videography, and short-form video content creation (e.g., Reels) using tools such as CapCut, Canva, SuperGrok, and AI content generation is highly desirable.
- Experience in sectors such as food delivery, e-commerce, retail, logistics, mobility, hospitality, or technology is an asset.

Travel Requirements
- Local travel for event coverage, launches, community activations, promotions, and content production.
- Periodic international travel within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to support regional brand expansion and marketing activities.
- Possession of a valid passport and willingness to travel internationally are preferred.
