Overview
Corlann is inviting applications for Social Care Worker roles in Limerick City and across West Limerick, including Newcastle West, Abbeyfeale, Liosmor and Askeaton. These are permanent positions within an organisation working alongside Brothers of Charity Ireland.

The role sits within a service that supports people with intellectual disabilities to be recognised as active members of their communities, to enjoy everyday life experiences, and to maintain meaningful connections with family and friends.
Role summary
The Social Care Worker will act as a key support person and advocate for individuals using the service. The position focuses on helping each person build on their strengths, increase independence, and develop practical life skills. Day-to-day support will include assistance with routine living tasks, helping with person-centred planning, and supporting the achievement of individual goals and outcomes. The role also involves encouraging informed decision-making, promoting community involvement, and supporting people to try new experiences and take positive, well-considered risks.
Pay and conditions
This position is on a 12-point salary scale of €40,851 to €57,217, paid pro-rata. The opportunity includes competitive pay, 22 days of annual leave, a defined benefit pension plan, flexible working hours, full training, full-time and part-time work options, career progression, sick leave, and an employee assistance programme.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a recognised qualification and meet the CORU eligibility requirements to register as a Social Care Worker. A full manual driving licence that allows the holder to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads is essential. Previous experience supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge is desirable. The post may involve providing an individualised service to one supported person.
