Job Overview

Kawambwa Sugar Limited invites applications for a skilled and dedicated SHEQ Supervisor to facilitate the execution and maintenance of the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality management system within their agricultural operations at Luapula Province, Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform SHEQ inspections and oversee compliance monitoring across all operational zones.
• Assist with hazard recognition, conduct risk analyses, and investigate incidents thoroughly.
• Track and ensure the completion of corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide SHEQ-related inductions, conduct toolbox talks, and lead awareness initiatives.
• Supervise adherence to personal protective equipment usage, emergency readiness, and environmental regulations.
• Carry out compliance audits and maintain detailed SHEQ documentation and reporting.
• Manage contractor adherence to SHEQ standards and assist operational managers in fostering safe working conditions.
• Act as the primary contact for all operational SHEQ concerns and communication.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
• Possession of recognized SHEQ certifications and First Aid or Fire Fighting training is advantageous.
• Between one to three years of professional experience in SHEQ, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, agricultural operations, or related sectors.
• Proven expertise in conducting inspections, risk evaluations, incident inquiries, and compliance tracking.
• Prior exposure to agricultural or industrial settings is beneficial.
