Service Leader

About the Role

The Service Leader at Chipotle Mexican Grill plays a critical role in guaranteeing a positive customer experience by ensuring that food is prepared safely and meets quality standards. This position involves managing the restaurant crew to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and organized service line with operational equipment. The role requires being actively on the floor, assessing and assisting with tasks as needed when not occupied with primary responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Adhering to all Chipotle policies and procedures to deliver great-tasting, high-quality food.
• Addressing and resolving food quality concerns promptly.
• Enforcing food safety standards, including proper hand washing, glove changes, time and temperature monitoring, shelf life checks, and completion of safety checklists.
• Managing customer incidents to ensure positive experiences.
• Overseeing crew schedules such as breaks, shift changes, and meetings.
• Training and cross-training front-of-house crew members.
• Assisting in performance evaluations of crew.
• Mentoring potential future Service Leaders.
• Handling administrative tasks including cash handling, banking procedures, and office paperwork.
• Maintaining office equipment and ordering necessary supplies to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensuring adequate inventory of supplies is maintained.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Comprehension and ability to communicate Chipotle's "Food With Integrity" philosophy.
• Experience with cash handling policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and health department requirements.
• Familiarity with administrative paperwork related to restaurant operations.
• Proficiency in the primary language(s) spoken at the workplace.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Previous restaurant experience.
• Availability to work at least four days per week, including at least two days from Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, with open availability for any eight-hour shift.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 32 working hours per week.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges from $20.50 to $22.08 per hour, influenced by skills, experience, and education, and complying with local wage regulations.
