Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE, directly reporting to the Head of Department. The role involves the design, engineering, specification, and installation of telecommunications systems supporting onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects, encompassing FEED, detailed design, EPC, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases while adhering to client and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed telecommunication engineering deliverables for FEED and detailed design projects.
• Develop design basis, system architectures, block diagrams, and technical specifications for telecom systems.
• Design and specify systems including Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA), Telephone and IP Telephony, CCTV, Access Control, Radio Communication (VHF/UHF/TETRA), Fiber Optics, Structured Cabling, and LAN/WAN networks.
• Prepare materials requisitions, datasheets, cable schedules, and equipment listings.
• Conduct telecom system studies ensuring full compliance with project requirements.
• Review vendor and engineering discipline drawings and documentation.
• Develop technical procurement requisitions and purchase specifications and participate in technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines including Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Process teams.
• Provide technical support in construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and resolve field technical queries.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and client specifications.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 to 8 years of telecom engineering experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, or Energy sectors.
• Experience working on FEED, Detailed Design, and EPC projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Middle East markets and ADNOC projects is advantageous.
• Proficient in telecom system design including fiber optics, CCTV, PAGA, access control, radio systems, structured cabling, and network architecture.
• Skilled at preparing technical specifications, vendor document review, bid evaluations, and acceptance testing.
• Fluent English communication is required.
