Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with over 6 years of expertise in software testing and automation. This role is based in Bangalore and requires deep knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Java, API testing, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain automated testing scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Create and run test cases across web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
- Execute API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
- Enhance and evolve automation frameworks to boost test coverage and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of requirements and quality outcomes.
- Detect, document, and monitor software bugs until resolution.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk evaluation.
- Conduct regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze test outcomes and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) efforts and promote automation best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Strong programming abilities in Java.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automation.
- Skilled in API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of TestNG or JUnit testing frameworks.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management software such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with SQL and performing database testing.
- Previous work in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
