Role Overview
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this position calls for a highly experienced Senior Project Director responsible for steering the successful execution of substantial construction projects. The candidate should demonstrate a strong history with Tier 1 main contractors and proven success managing multi-billion SAR developments, especially involving high-rise towers, from beginning through final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership in planning, executing, and delivering large-scale construction endeavors.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet safety, quality, cost, and scheduling goals.
- Supervise all stages of project phases including design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Manage relationships with clients and act as the primary contact for major stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, project specifications, local legislation, and global industry standards.
- Direct project controls covering budgeting, scheduling, risk, and change management.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and government departments to maintain smooth project progress.
- Track performance, assess risks, and implement necessary corrective measures to reach milestones.
- Enhance commercial results through contract administration, claim management, and resolving disputes.
- Mentor senior teams, encouraging collaboration, responsibility, and ongoing improvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 20 years’ experience in project management with Tier 1 main contractors is essential.
- Proven track record directing multi-billion SAR construction projects, especially high-rise towers and large building developments.
- Successful management of complex projects from initial phases to completion.
- Expertise in project and construction management, contract and commercial management, project controls, risk assessment, and stakeholder relations.
- Superior leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local laws, international construction standards, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture is required; Master’s degree or PMP certification is considered advantageous.
