Senior Procurement Manager

Overview

The Senior Procurement Manager leads strategic procurement and supply chain efforts for luxury hospitality and distinguished construction projects. This role is pivotal in crafting and implementing procurement strategies, enhancing commercial value, managing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, minimizing supply chain risks, and ensuring projects meet corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute procurement and sourcing plans aligned with company and project aims.
• Oversee procurement activities for major civil, structural, architectural, façade, fit-out, landscaping, and specialty construction packages.
• Manage tender processes including evaluation, negotiation, awarding, and contract administration for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop strategic alliances with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure sustained value, dependability, and supply continuity.
• Collaborate closely with executives, project directors, commercial teams, and stakeholders to facilitate project success.
• Drive procurement excellence via cost management, value engineering, strategic sourcing, and market intelligence.
• Identify and address commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks impacting project outcomes.
• Implement governance frameworks, policies, and best practices ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
• Lead supplier performance evaluation and continuous supply chain improvements.
• Manage procurement planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance via SAP ERP and dashboards.
• Mentor and develop procurement team members fostering a culture focused on high achievement.
• Support corporate initiatives in sustainability, health & safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth understanding of procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, and supply chain in construction.
• Strong commercial insight with expertise in managing significant procurement packages and negotiations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of civil, structural, architectural finishes, façade systems, fit-out, and specialist construction procurement.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient analytical, financial, and risk management skills.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP and procurement performance reporting tools.
• Advanced communication, negotiation, and relationship management competencies.

Experience Requirements

• At least 18 years of progressive procurement experience within the construction industry.
• A minimum of 8 years in senior management or leadership roles with a recognized main contractor.
• Successful history of delivering procurement strategies for large-scale luxury hospitality, mixed-use, landmark, or iconic construction projects.
• Experience in the GCC or Middle East region is highly advantageous.
