The position supports the design and execution of advanced People Data Governance capabilities to create trustworthy, scalable, and AI-ready workforce data foundations. It involves collaboration with various teams, including HR Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Security, Privacy, and business stakeholders, ensuring robust data governance frameworks across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement enterprise data governance policies, standards, and stewardship structures.
- Develop scalable governance frameworks to enhance trust, consistency, accessibility, compliance, and usability of workforce data across analytics, automation, and AI applications.
- Lead initiatives targeting AI-readiness through trusted data architectures, standardized definitions, enriched metadata, lineage tracking, and semantic modeling.
- Improve upstream business processes and data collection systems to guarantee high-quality and reliable data for analytics and AI usage.
- Partner with stakeholders to establish enterprise metric standards, business glossaries, ownership, and stewardship accountability.
- Support metadata management efforts including cataloging, taxonomy, lineage documentation, and governance of semantic layers.
- Implement data quality management practices covering observability, issue triage, remediation, SLA monitoring, and certification.
- Work with data scientists and engineers to convert business requirements into scalable, governance-enabled data solutions.
- Develop governance knowledge management initiatives encompassing training, documentation, playbooks, and adoption frameworks.
- Handle structured and unstructured data from enterprise HR systems, analytics platforms, and cloud environments.
- Use SQL-based querying and semantic modeling to verify data integrity, reconcile metrics, and maintain governance standards.
- Support cloud-based data ecosystem implementations, data governance tools, and master data management with engineering teams.
- Oversee access governance and data security policies including documentation of access models and handling of sensitive data.
- Contribute to transformation projects focused on workforce planning, reporting modernization, analytics, and AI-enabled operations.
- Operate efficiently within Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban while managing diverse cross-departmental priorities.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a similar field, and have at least 5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Analytics Engineering, along with 8+ years in data, analytics, BI, or technology roles.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in enterprise Data Governance programs, particularly in HR or workforce analytics; deep familiarity with stewardship, metadata management, lineage, observability, and data quality; experience with AI-ready data ecosystems and cloud data platforms; strong SQL skills; experience with data governance and master data management tools; proficiency in Power BI, DAX, SSAS, and semantic modeling; and proven ability in stakeholder management, communication, and Agile delivery.
Compensation and Additional Information
The pay range for this role is $95,000 to $158,000 annually, with actual compensation influenced by factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and location. The package may also include bonuses, stock options, and benefits.
