Senior Manager – Data Platform Service Delivery & Operations

Overview

An established organization in Doha, Qatar, heavily investing in enterprise Data & AI capabilities, seeks a Senior Manager to lead service delivery and operations for mission-critical Data & AI platforms. This role involves driving operational governance, supporting scalable models, and managing the transition of complex systems into production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery and operational management of enterprise Data & AI platforms ensuring dependable, secure, and high-performance production services.
• Develop and improve operational governance, release management, production readiness, and service transition processes across diverse technology initiatives.
• Advance DataOps, MLOps, and CI/CD capabilities supporting enterprise-wide data and AI operations.
• Define frameworks for managed services, support models, operational procedures, service-level agreements, and performance metrics.
• Manage platform operations, deployment controls, operational risks, service performances, and initiatives focused on continuous improvements.
• Establish robust collaborations with executive stakeholders, delivery partners, and technology vendors serving as the main operational lead during program delivery.
• Conduct governance sessions, operational reviews, and generate executive reports to provide transparent insights into service performance, risks, and progress.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams spanning delivery, engineering, operations, governance, and support, fostering skills development and operational excellence.
• Assist in workforce planning, recruitment, succession strategies, and promote a high-performance organizational culture.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in delivering enterprise Data & AI platforms, managed services, technology operations, or extensive digital transformation programs.
• Established leadership in DataOps, MLOps, platform operations, or enterprise support functions within complex settings.
• Proven success in developing scalable managed service capabilities and operational governance frameworks for production support.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise data platforms, data governance, CI/CD pipelines, operational readiness, and release management.
• Experience managing production-critical environments involving diverse stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.
• Outstanding leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate with executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience managing teams that cross engineering, operations, AI, governance, and service delivery disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; additional certifications such as ITIL, Cloud, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering are valuable.
• Fluent English communication; Arabic language skills are a plus.
