Senior Logistics & Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Logistics & Operations Specialist to join a U.S.-based wholesaling company's operations team remotely from Latin America. The role involves overseeing the entire logistics cycle to guarantee orders, shipments, and deliveries flow efficiently from suppliers to customers. The position is full-time, contractor-based, following a 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ET schedule.

Key Duties

• Oversee the full shipping operation ensuring timely and precise order dispatch.
• Arrange shipment appointments and coordinate schedules with carriers, warehouses, and customers.
• Supervise purchase orders, guiding fulfillment steps appropriately.
• Track shipments and promptly address any delivery or transport disruptions.
• Collaborate with suppliers, freight carriers, warehouses, and internal groups to maintain seamless logistics processes.
• Check shipping documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Keep thorough records and reports on logistics and shipment tracking.
• Assess delivery metrics and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Spot and suggest enhancements in operational workflows to boost efficiency.
• Ensure daily logistics operations meet customer timing requirements.

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• Over five years’ relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or order management.
• Profound knowledge of both domestic and international shipping procedures.
• Proven skills in coordinating shipments and transportation providers.
• Experience handling purchase orders and fulfillment processes.
• Acquainted with warehouse workflows and inventory handling.
• Proficient with ERP, logistics, or transportation management software; experience with AMT systems is a plus.
• Ability to self-manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
• Previous work with U.S.-based companies or international logistics operations is advantageous.
• Professional-level English communication skills.

• Advanced skills in Excel for tracking and reporting operations.
• Capability to analyze shipment progress and prioritize orders appropriately.
• Thorough knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics best practices.
