The Opportunity
SCDA is looking for a design-led Senior Interior Designer to join its Singapore studio. The position suits an experienced designer who has successfully taken residential and hospitality interior projects from initial concept through schematic design and design development. You will partner with senior designers to help create refined interior spaces and contribute to SCDA’s design direction on prominent international projects.
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who values design thinking, spatial refinement, and material exploration.
Key Contributions
- Guide interior design projects from concept stage through schematic design and design development.
- Support the delivery of completed residential and hospitality projects while preserving design intent and quality throughout every phase.
- Take the lead on space planning, material selection, detailing, and FF&E development.
- Create polished drawings, 3D studies, and presentation decks using SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Take part in internal reviews and design presentations, communicating ideas clearly and confidently.
- Work closely with architecture and design colleagues to ensure interior solutions are cohesive and well resolved.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, backed by a portfolio showing completed residential and hospitality interior work.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects from concept through schematic design and design development.
- A strong design sensibility with careful attention to composition, proportion, materials, and detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; Revit knowledge will be considered an advantage.
- Strong presentation and visual communication abilities.
- A self-driven, design-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative studio environment.
