Role Summary

The Senior Director, Integrated Planning & Analytics, is responsible for leading enterprise-wide planning that encompasses demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial goals through Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This role supports profitable growth, operational flexibility, and patient-focused outcomes in a complex global rare disease supply system by aligning decisions across multiple departments including Commercial, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Finance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the global IBP framework tailored to rare disease challenges, incorporating demand fluctuations, small batch production, long lead times, and limited capacity.
• Maintain a structured cadence for IBP activities such as Product Review and Executive IBP sessions.
• Oversee short-term Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) to ensure alignment with strategic IBP decisions and proper escalation of issues.
• Integrate patient-centric elements into planning cycles, addressing urgent needs like compassionate use and emergency orders.
• Reconcile diverse demand signals, including commercial, clinical trials, and named-patient programs.
• Develop supply plans that consider long production cycles, yield variability, cold-chain logistics, and third-party manufacturing dependencies.
• Lead inventory management strategies to minimize waste and ensure immediate patient access to ultra-low-volume therapies.
• Conduct risk-based scenario planning to prepare for demand spikes or supply interruptions.
• Facilitate cross-functional governance forums to guide trade-offs on allocation, stock policies, and launch readiness.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the Integrated Planning & Analytics team, fostering accountability and continuous development.
• Collaborate with Finance to embed operational and financial considerations in annual and long-range planning.
• Guide data management and analytics initiatives to enhance forecasting and decision-making using advanced visualization tools.
• Promote adoption of IBP principles across global teams, enhancing planning maturity and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related discipline required.
• At least 12 years of advancing leadership in supply chain or operations within biotech, pharmaceutical, or rare disease sectors.
• Proven experience managing global S&OP/IBP frameworks, including capacity planning and inventory strategy.
• Strong familiarity with ERP systems, advanced planning software, and analytics tools supporting scenario modeling.
• Demonstrated success influencing senior executives in matrixed, complex organizations.
• In-depth knowledge of life science supply chains featuring biologics, long lead times, and patient-critical supply continuity.
• Financial acumen and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Preferred qualifications include Master's degree (MBA or MS), relevant certifications (APICS/ASCM, SCOR-P), and experience with biologics or gene therapies.
