Senior Director HR (Global)

About the Role

Barden partners exclusively with a global aviation company to appoint a Senior Director of Global HR responsible for leading the entire people function across Dublin and the US. This leadership position offers an opportunity to influence strategic decisions, modernize core HR processes, and preserve the company's culture as a distinctive competitive edge during global expansion.

The organization has witnessed significant growth over the last two years, and this role is designed to maintain, evolve, and manage global HR operations for the group. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the director will engage closely with a committed senior leadership team based both in the US and Dublin.

Role Overview

The role involves independently building and owning the HR function with considerable autonomy to define how HR operates in a fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee global payroll, talent management, and recruitment processes end-to-end.
• Lead system and process improvements within HR to support growth and scalability.
• Partner closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with employment practices in both Ireland and the US.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in HR with demonstrated expertise managing global teams and processes.
• Proven ability to lead system and process change initiatives within HR.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience working within private equity-backed organizations preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Irish and US employment laws and practices.
• Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with senior stakeholders.
